March 2012 — "I had stopped by Larry's on a whim, as most stables aren't open to visitors during the winter months, and ended up having one of the most memorable experiences of my life. I've done a lot of trail riding and enjoyed that Larry and his stables were a lot more "down to basics" than most other places. Being a girl going out for a ride alone I was a little apprehensive at first, but the horses were some of the best behaved that I've seen out on rides, very reliable, sure footed, and responsive. The view from the top of the 1 hour trail ride was spectacular, and Larry was an excellent and incredibly knowledgeable guide. I definitely recommend Larry's to anyone with a sense of adventure and a love of riding."

Riding stables east of Jasper National Park gate along Yellowhead Hwy 16. Horseback trail rides along eastern slopes of the Rockies. Hourly rides from 10 am to 6 pm $30/hr per person; 2-hr twilight ride 6:30 pm $45; half-day Athabasca Trail ride $75. Scenic Folding Mountain day trip $110, steak BBQ or overnight camp extra. Willmore Wilderness sightseeing or fishing pack trips Rock Lake to Eagle's Nest Pass, 4 days/3 nights, $185/day. Open year round. Wagon or sleigh rides 2 hour $20/person with ten people.
