January 2008 — "I really like Castle Mountain because it is something of a secret. They have great runs and most of the time they are not busy at all (you can get on a chair right away). Also, when it snows, it REALLY snows. If you go on the right day you can get feet of snow! which (because it is rarely busy) means you can find untouched powder all over the place, for the entire day. The only problem is it can get seriously windy! (it's Pincher Creek what do you expect?) so there are days when you should steer clear of the summit runs."

Castle Mountain Huckleberry Festival

Held every August at Castle Mountain Resort, the Huckleberry Festival has been taking place for over a dozen years and features more than just picking the yummy and unique wild huckleberries. The family-friendly festival also includes live music, a pancake breakfast and barbeques.
